Custom 48 TB RAID NAS for a Family Member's EMS Business

A 48 TB RAID network storage box set up for a family member's EMS business to hold confidential patient files, based on the owner's statement only.

My role

Per the owner's statement, Mohamad set up the storage for a family member's EMS business. No records exist on disk, so what he did exactly, with which hardware or software, is not documented here.

What it is

Owner statement, not documented on disk. Mohamad says he set up a custom 48 TB RAID NAS around 2023 to 2024 for a family member's EMS business, to hold confidential patient files. Nothing about it was found on this PC: no configuration files, photos, diagrams or notes.

The only written trace is the 48 TB figure appearing in his resume and interview drafts. His own 2026-10-13 readiness note describes his business IT experience as only a NAS, with no Microsoft 365 admin, backup restore testing or business firewall work yet.

Because there is nothing to check, this page deliberately lists no hardware, RAID level, software or process. Those would be guesses.

How it was built

  1. NeedOwner statement: a family member's EMS business needed large, private storage for confidential patient files.
  2. BuildOwner statement: a custom RAID NAS of 48 TB total was set up. Hardware, RAID level, operating system and drive count are not recorded.
  3. UseOwner statement: the box holds the business's patient files. How access, backups or restores were handled is not documented.

Decisions and why

Keep this page to the owner statement only
No records exist on disk, so any detail beyond the 48 TB figure and the purpose would be invented.

Timeline

  • About 2023 to 2024NAS set up (owner statement, not documented on disk)
  • 2026-10-13Owner's own readiness note: business IT experience is only a NAS

What I took from it

  • Keep a configuration record and a photo of any client build so it can be shown later.
  • A claim with no paperwork is only as strong as the person's ability to explain it live.
